ELECTROLYTIC TINPLATE/TIN FREE STEEL/TIN MILL BLACK PLATE COILS

ELECTROLYTIC TINPLATE/TIN FREE STEEL/TIN MILL BLACK PLATE COILS

ELECTROLYTIC TINPLATE (ETP): This is a thin sheet of steel with a coating of tin and is also known as packaging steel. By selecting a proper temper grade, appropriate formability is obtained for various applications as well as the required strength after forming. It is specially used for manufacturing of beverage cans, food packaging like edible oil, preserved food, pickles, biscuits, chocolates and non-food applications like decorative items, toys, caps etc.

TIN FREE STEEL (TFS): Tin Free Steel is an electrolytic chrome plated steel consisting of a thin layer of chromium and a layer of chromium oxide deposited on a cold rolled steel base (black plate steel) which gives it a beautiful, lustrous metallic finish on both sides. It is mainly used for manufacturing chemical cans, paint cans, stoves, plates, caps etc.

TIN MILL BLACK PLATE COILS (TMBP): Once used primarily as a base metal for tinplate, it has recently come to find wider application. Today it is not only used in tinplate and tin free steel, but also in cans, jewellery boxes, lipstick shells and dry battery jackets, which are competitive with tinplate and tin free steel counterparts, as well as in cold rolled coils for such diverse applications as building materials and automotive parts. In applications where the tin or chromium coating surface characteristics are of little relevance, TMBP is competitive with tinplate and tin free steel for direct painting.
